Pre-Contract Information

Our Process

Creditline Financial Ltd (‘We’ or ‘CFL’) will carry out a Free PPI Check for you. Our claims team will make a Subject Access Request (SAR) (or similar) to your creditor(s) for information based on the information you provide about your current or previous accounts. We will then carry out a review to verify whether any Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) exists alongside your credit agreement(s), (this may also include the payment of undisclosed Secret Commissions)and/ or whether you have paid for a Packaged Bank Account.

If our review indicates that any PPI or PBA products were sold to you, we will contact you to inform you and confirm whether or not you wish to use CFL’s Claim Service. If you tell us you want to proceed with CLF’s claim service(s) we will then discuss the circumstances surrounding the sale of your PPI policies and/or PBA. This will enable us to prepare a detailed claim to present to your creditor(s) if it appears that PPI or a PBA may have been mis-sold to you. We will then pursue a claim on your behalf for reimbursement of all PPI premiums plus interest and/or PBA charges plus interest paid on your accounts.

Please note: the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) also offers a free adjudication service.

Our Fees

We do not charge any fee for our Free PPI Check service. If you instruct us to proceed with your claim our fee is 24% (20% + VAT).

No Win, No Fee

If we do not achieve an offer of compensation for you from your creditor(s) then you will not have to pay us anything*.

“Compensation” means any and every financial benefit that is awarded to you (in each and all cases before the deduction of any applicable tax) directly or indirectly arising from or in connection with, and at any time following, a claim for redress instigated or dealt with by us for you, in relation to any PPI policy, PBA or any other financial or insurance product you have asked us to investigate. Compensation includes, for example, all: (i) refunds (ii) repayments (iii) interest (iv) compensation for interest, charges and other sums paid or lost (v) sums paid following actual or purported reconsideration of previously rejected claims for redress and (vi) ex gratia payments and “distress and inconvenience” payments. Compensation includes any/all cash payments you receive. We will only ever charge you on the net cash amount you receive.

Your claim will be deemed ‘successful’ if you receive an award of compensation relating to any money you have previously paid or been charged in respect of the PPI policy or PBA.

If you are in a Debt Management Plan you may receive compensation directly from the creditor or the compensation may be offset against your outstanding balance, we are not regulated to provide Debt Management advice, any queries must be discussed directly with your plan administrator.

If you are currently in an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), if you receive any offer of compensation for mis-sold PPI or a mis-sold PBA you must inform your IVA Supervisor. We are not regulated to provide advice on Individual Voluntary Arrangements, any queries must be discussed directly with your IVA Supervisor.

If you were previously in an IVA, if you receive any offer of compensation for mis-sold PPI you may (depending upon the terms of your previous IVA) be obliged to pay some or all of your compensation to your previous IVA Supervisor. If you do not inform your previous IVA Supervisor of an offer of compensation you receive from one of your creditors, you may be liable to pay some or all of your compensation to your previous IVA Supervisor. If you are in any doubt, you should check the terms of your previous IVA.

We do not guarantee to find all PPI you may have been sold but we will make reasonable enquiries based on the information you provide to us.
